As soon as snow conditions permit, we will start the 2025/26 winter season.
The ski lift, toboggan lift, 100 m magic carpet, 30 m magic carpet, kiosk, sled and ski rental are currently closed.
Ski lessons can be pre-booked at www.skischule48gradnord.de.
On ski lesson days, the ski rental opens at 8:30 a.m., and equipment is available at this time.

During the school vacations (BW)
Christmas holidays:
December 20, 2025 – January 6, 2026 daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Carnival holidays:
February 13,2026 – February 22,2026 daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Outside the school vacations (BW)
Friday 1:00 p. m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sat & Sun 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
30m conveyor belt
A 30 m conveyor belt for beginners to make it easier to get started in winter sports.
100m conveyor belt
The 100 m conveyor belt allows sledges, skiers and snowboarders a relaxing ascent and pure fun in the snow.
450m Ski lift
After the ride on the drag lift, there are 3 different downhill options to choose from.

Sledge and ski rental
The on-site winter sports equipment rental offers the opportunity to hire skis, ski boots, poles, sledges and toboggans directly on site.
Enjoy a refreshment stop at the ski lift kiosk.

The 48° Nord ski school offers various courses for beginners and advanced skiers. Improve your technique under professional guidance in group courses and private lessons.
By car
The Kalte Herberge ski lift is located directly on the B500 between Hinterzarten and Furtwangen in the Black Forest. You can reach the ski lift from the Freiburg, Villingen-Schwenningen, Simonswäldertal and Donaueschingen areas in up to 30 minutes.
By public transportation
The Panoramabus connects the Kalte Herberge with Triberg via Furtwangen to Thurner on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. You can find a detailed timetable here.
